AI Bots Integration into Search Engine Proposed by Meta

News 31 Oct 2024

Meta has played a critical role in the AI revolution. Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram are Meta’s child products, and Meta AI chatbots are being added to their search engines, designed to answer questions.

The Information suggests that Meta is now jumping into demand, so a new category exists for giants like Google and Microsoft. Meta AI chatbots let users search for anything related to stocks, news, or sports. However, Meta has not confirmed these reports with the integration of the AI chatbots itself.

In its press release, Meta accelerated the development of AI-generated avatar chatbots with AI as its primary focus. Meta has collaborated with Reuters and other third-party organizations to ensure its continued development of AI chatbots and recently agreed to become Meta AI’s official news distributor.

These decisions have had a significant but positive impact on Meta traffic. Meta AI reaches 185 million weekly active users, so Open AI faces stiff competition from ChatGPT and its 250 million weekly users. However, with Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, ChatGPT still leads the research space as a significant investor. The catch is that Open AI has an AI-powered search engine, SerachGPT, and integrates results across other platforms.

This integration development may be all about AI, but it could benefit this California-based tech giant in Menlo Park. Additionally, TikTok is uniquely competitive with Google, their search rival in this race. Therefore, they started looking for ads, which have now become a potential source of income for their partner apps. Meta changed the format of the advertisements and combined them into one program. It can also be thought of as research, but the gist of the talk is that the search engine must be trusted first.
